Security and access control

Access control systems use special badges to record people and vehicles transiting through port access gates, combining management, operating and security functions.
Badges can be supplied in the form of both contactless cards, as well as in more advanced formats involving fingerprint recognition.
The system can handle access to areas containing zones with hierarchical security levels and is designed to communicate with an automatic monitoring center for all authorised and illegal access attempts.
This provides security staff with the tools they need to effectively monitor the area for which they are responsible, making use of TV cameras to supervise the site and the following reports:
The licence plate reading module is interfaced with the access control and gate in/out system. Entry and exit is conditional on the licence plate of the tractor being identified and verification that it appears on the list of approved vehicle movements.
Vehicles are identified by automatically recognising their licence numbers using specially positioned TV cameras. If the vehicle cannot be identified automatically, an operator enters the shipment details manually.
On receiving entry/exit approval, the system prints a form for the driver, opens the gate and, in the case of entry, indicates the destination area inside the interport.
